The most urgent action came in the arraignment for Tyrone Deandre Hughes (2025CR01326). After hearing argument from defense counsel and the state, Judge Hayward denied the defense’s request for a low bond and set bond at $5,000 on each of the remaining misdemeanor counts, for a total bond of $21,500 for five charges. The judge ordered “no contact with either the daughter or the alleged victim in this case” and warned Hughes that violating bond conditions could lead to rearrest, bond revocation and additional criminal charges. Prosecutor Sharron Hagler had asked the court to deny bond or, if set, to require a $100,000 bond based on the defendant’s felony probation status and the seriousness of the alleged assault.
