Staff cited Wisconsin statute 118.22, which sets an ultimate deadline for return of signed contracts (the statute references a no-later-than-following-June-15 requirement), and said the practice of distributing contracts in March helps the district predict staffing needs. Staff will distribute the renewal letters in March and continue to track returns ahead of the June statutory deadline.
