Miss Gimmons said the funds would help the Fort Pierre racing meet in October and sought the Senate's support for South Dakota racing. The floor proceeded under a two-thirds requirement because the transfer moved money into a continuously appropriated fund; the roll call recorded 35 yeas and 0 nays and the President declared the bill passed.
