Key outcomes: • Intern program: The board authorized county Administration/Human Resources and Public Services staff to invest more than eight hours of staff time to develop and implement an intern program for fiscal years 2024–25 and 2025–26. • Generator purchase and procurement procedure: The board waived the county competitive-bidding requirement to use a cooperative purchasing contract (Sourcewell) and approved procurement of a 400 kW Caterpillar generator from Peterson Cat for the Southeast Wastewater Treatment Plant for $232,265.78.
• Appointments and delegations: The board approved multiple advisory‑board appointments, including Animal Control Advisory Board (District 2 appointment), LAPAC (appointment), and Glenbrook Cemetery District appointment. The board also approved Vice Chair Rasmussen as primary and Supervisor Owen as alternate to the Blue Ribbon Committee for Clear Lake rehabilitation. One animal-control district appointment (District 3) was deferred until a later meeting to allow absent members to confirm.
Votes: Most votes were recorded as carried by voice vote; where tally counts were provided the Lake O'San governance initiation motion passed 3–2 and delegation composition motion passed 3–2.
