4‑H folklorico performance and volunteer group revived as educators push quarterly model

"They have challenges with parents wanting their kids to be in this group and like forcing the kids to be there," Andrea said while describing recent club planning work. She said the quarterly meeting model and updated bylaws produced better buy-in from volunteers and should strengthen fundraising and scholarship support for youth activities.
Andrea also said 4‑H enrollment is concentrated in identifiable pockets across the county and that she plans a more in-depth map presentation at a future meeting. She described ongoing outreach such as STEM after‑school programs in Arcadia and Whitehall and a fatherhood education event in Galesville.
Board members thanked Andrea for her volunteer recruitment work and encouraged continued outreach. No formal actions or funding commitments for 4‑H were recorded in the meeting.
