The sheriff replied that the department would not move forward until the board had vetted the system and that staff planned to bring a vendor on March 11.
The sheriff also described a planned records‑management system rollout that he said should be operational within 17–18 months and would include a daily dashboard to help staff see trends and pull data more quickly. He said changing systems will make it easier for the sheriff’s office to provide consistent year‑end and trend reports.
