Monroe County planners approved a performance-period extension for a road segment in the North Park Office subdivision (SIA-20-2-301) to June 16, 2025, and did not require an inflation adjustment after preliminary review from the highway department indicated the work is substantially complete.
Planning staff said the developer’s existing letter of credit is set to expire and that the developer needs a short extension to submit final as-built drawings and address any minor corrections required by the highway department before the county will accept the roadway into the inventory. Staff said the highway department has inspected the road more than once and is confident acceptance is achievable within the requested timeframe.
Because the road appears to be essentially complete, staff did not require an added inflationary reserve for this extension. The plan commission voted 9–0 to grant the extension to June 16, 2025, with the provision that if the road is not accepted by that date staff will return to the commission to request another extension and the developer will then be required to post the required inflation adjustment.
Ending: The developer must submit as-built documentation to the highway department for final review; staff will return the matter to the commission if acceptance is not complete by June 16, 2025.
