Homewood City Council approves routine surplus sales, contracts and sets public hearings

The Homewood City Council on Monday approved a set of routine resolutions and contracts including surplus property sales, a resurfacing resolution with ALDOT, an investment-advising contract and scheduling of public hearings and city-sponsored events.
The council voted unanimously on most items. Actions approved included declaring certain city property surplus and authorizing the sale of two Harley-Davidson motorcycles; approving a change order on the Kenilworth stormwater project (see separate article); authorizing the mayor to execute an ALDOT resurfacing resolution for U.S. 280 (Rosedale Drive); authorizing a contract for investment advising with Porter White; and approving a city advertisement in Homewood Magazine.
