Several directors recommended setting a firm goal date (June) to complete both the handbook and the 200‑series policy revisions so administration can work backward on assignments and meet the district's timeline.
Board members favored a process that combines committee work and study‑session discussions: volunteers will compile priority lists, identify linked policies that must be revised together and ask legal counsel to review drafts. Board members emphasized transparency and public notice in the revision process; board policy committee and legal review would be part of the workflow. No formal vote was recorded; the board agreed to proceed by assigning volunteers to prioritize the 15 MSBA 200‑series policies and return drafts for study session review.
