County staff say final stop-loss numbers pending; plan to drop an unexpected PBM fee

The county—s current PBM is Lavinity (spelled Lavenity/Lavinity in the record); staff said Bucati is preparing a one-year agreement and that Bucati representatives Joe and Courtney were present to review details after the meeting. The presenter noted that, "with every prescription filled, $8 goes to Lavenity, $2.50 goes to EBMS, and then 75¢ goes to a entity called Leaf Health. We did not know that we were paying Leaf Health... so we will be doing away with Leaf Health, which is gonna be saving us about 75¢ per script."
No formal contract award was reported at the meeting; staff said they expected to finalize stop-loss pricing and the PBM agreement at next week—s meeting.
