The Flagstaff Commission on Diversity Awareness approved the draft minutes of its Jan. 15 meeting and adopted a draft proclamation for Women's History Month during its meeting on Feb. 19, 2025.
The commission voted to approve the minutes after Commissioner Manny Hernandez moved to approve and Commissioner Angelica Sanchez seconded; Chair Carolyn Kidd then announced the motion carried. Later in the meeting Commissioner Mindy Riesemberg moved to approve the draft proclamation for Women's History Month and the motion carried.
Chair Carolyn Kidd volunteered to accept and present the proclamation when it is read at the City Council meeting on March 4 at 3:00 p.m.; Commissioner Sandra Darling said she would join Kidd when the proclamation is presented. The commission had no further edits to the proclamation during the meeting.
