Summary
A resident said noise from a nearby warehouse (identified as Jaramaki) can be heard more than a mile away at night and is harming his health; he asked for the city code enforcement report and follow‑up — staff committed to follow up with him.
Solomon Jadidi addressed the council during public comment on Jan. 27 to repeat a noise complaint against a warehouse identified as Jaramaki, which he said is audible from his home over a mile away and is affecting his health.
"It's emitting a noise that I can hear from my house over a mile and a half away," Jadidi said, describing the sound as especially disruptive at night and noting he suffers from tinnitus and other disabilities. He said he has worked with city code enforcement staff, that inspections have been performed and that he has asked for the enforcement report but had not received it.
Jadidi asked the council to ensure code enforcement follows up and to consider the proximity of future residential development to the facility. The city clerk and mayor said staff would follow up: "We'll follow‑up with code," and the city manager agreed to have staff contact Jadidi with the inspection outcome.
No formal council action was taken at the meeting; staff committed to follow up with the resident.
