Council approves consent agenda and other routine items, including eminent-domain findings and intergovernmental agreements

The Goodyear City Council on Feb. 24 approved the consent agenda and several associated routine items by unanimous vote.
The items read into the record by the city clerk included approval of minutes; an intergovernmental agreement with the City of Phoenix for use of fire apparatus; adoption of Resolution No. 2025-2447 finding acquisitions necessary for improvements to McDowell Road (Dysart Road to Litchfield Road) a matter of public necessity and authorizing staff to acquire interests by dedication, donation, purchase or eminent domain; authorization for the city to access the Arizona Crash Information System through an ADOT intergovernmental agreement; and Resolution No. 2025-2448 finding acquisitions necessary for improvements at the intersection of Estrella Parkway and Ballpark Village Boulevard and authorizing acquisition actions.
Council also authorized expenditure authority to begin design for the Fire Resource Management Facility (CIP project 3015) consistent with the approved budget and approved other routine consent items. Council voted 7-0 on the consent agenda.
The council opened, and later closed, no additional public comments on these items during the consent motion.
