Avon Plan Commission continues Briarwood petition (ZA24-13) to March 24 at staff request

The Avon Advisory Plan Commission on Feb. 24 voted to continue petition ZA24-13 (Briarwood, along County Road 900 East) to the Commission’s March 24 meeting at the request of planning staff.
Staff said it has been working with the petitioner to prepare significant amendments that staff believes would “greatly improve the project,” and the petitioner needs time to complete those amendments. Staff asked for a 30‑day continuance to the March 24 meeting; no remonstrators appeared at the hearing.
The Commission unanimously approved the continuance. The petition will be re-noticed and returned to the Commission on March 24 for a public hearing and further deliberation.
Ending Staff and the petitioner did not present additional materials at the Feb. 24 meeting; the continuance allows time for the petitioner to file revised drawings and commitments for staff review prior to the next hearing.
