“I was here, I don't know, last year or December ... I still haven't heard or seen anyone come out there,” resident Darian Hammer told the council about a dip near 21225 and a large daily disturbance.
The Public Works director reported that crews ran a camera down the line and “found 2 small breaks in the main” and that crews had been on site for several hours to assess the issue. The director said crews will place a temporary black cover over small gaps for safety, and a contractor will be brought in for repairs. A patch was scheduled for the next day and the contractor was expected on site the next week to provide an estimate.
Councilors told the resident the borough would follow up and provide a near-term timeline; the public-works official indicated the full repair cost and schedule would be confirmed after the contractor’s estimate.
No formal vote was taken; the item was handled as an operational public‑works response with a short-term schedule for a temporary safety measure and a contractor estimate for permanent repairs.
