Miami County commissioners sign KDOC grant applications totaling $1.39 million

Amy Willard, financial officer for Community Corrections, told the commission the county would request the same allocations it currently receives. “We’re only able to request the same amount that we’re currently receiving. And so we’re going to be requesting an allocation from KDOC of $640,286.01. This total includes $151,411.63 for our behavioral health funds,” Willard said of the adult comprehensive plan grant request.
Willard also requested the chairman’s signature on the KDOC FY 2026 juvenile comprehensive plan grant for $571,491 and on a two-year juvenile evidence‑based program (juvenile reinvestment) grant totaling $180,304 for FY 2026–27. Each item was moved and seconded by commissioners and approved without discussion.
