Codes director weighing alternatives after Granicus (SmartGov) renewal would raise fees by about 7%

Staff said the codes director, Jason, was not satisfied with recent price increases and is exploring other vendors. Staff presented a one-year renewal option to allow more time to evaluate alternatives.

Staff also noted that prior migrations to online permitting required a one-time migration fee (staff referenced roughly $30,000 for the original migration), so changing vendors can carry upfront costs in addition to recurring annual fees.
