Discussion and context
The road-abandonment item included review of a recorded easement. County staff (Mr. Newman and Mr. Durbin) confirmed a copy of the recorded document was available for supervisors to review; supervisors said they saw no problem with the recorded version before approving the resolution.
On broadband, staff explained that local government support letters provide application points for the BEAT process and that multiple local letters are permitted; a supervisor asked whether a support letter could also be provided for another provider (Citizens), and staff replied that the county can provide multiple support letters but that the county had historically supported the provider it had previously worked with.
Supervisors also approved a proposed change to the EMS schedule and authorized up to $300,000 in appropriations for the remainder of FY2025; the motion and second were recorded and the board voted yes.
