MCTI and Colonial IU 20 report enrollment growth, capital projects and program expansions to ESASD board

Two regional partners briefed the board on Feb. 24: Monroe Career & Technical Institute (MCTI) and Colonial Intermediate Unit 20 (IU20).
MCTI report: Dennis Berger, MCTI director, told the board the center is at capacity with nearly 1,200 students on the October 1 snapshot and a growing wait list (about 495 at the time of the presentation). Berger said East Stroudsburg sends roughly 24.85% of MCTI’s operating budget and that MCTI will add programs and a second automotive technology section to relieve wait lists.
