Student representative Kennedy delivered a short update on extracurricular events across the Dublin City (Regular School District).
Kennedy said Kaufman Band has a concert tomorrow at 7 p.m. and a celebration-of-excellence event on Feb. 27. Jerome hosted a Black History Month celebration on Feb. 20 during lunch that featured a fashion show and food; Jerome Feeder will present Little Shop of Horrors this weekend. Kennedy reported Jerome Cheer started this past weekend. Scioto presented Hadestown and held a pep rally to raise awareness for the DublinThon, which raises money for pediatric cancer. Kennedy added that the Scioto band won $20,000 in the metallic band competition, placing second in their division and first in the fan vote, and that their true (cheer) team placed as state runner-ups at the state championships.
