Finance committee approves multiple routine advances, amendments and purchases; several studies authorized

Medina City Council’s finance committee approved a series of funding advances, budget amendments, equipment purchases and planning studies during its meeting, voting on a package of items that the committee chair said were largely routine or preparatory.

The committee approved a carry-forward appropriation request for unspent funds (carryforward amount reported in discussion as $13,847,000), an advance to cover a site study at the former Yo Sanogo (Yos Sunoco) property, multiple budget amendments tied to those advances, the authorization to seek bids for waterline replacements and an architect selection process, and several technology- and facilities-related purchases and agreements. Committee members also approved a partnership application to the CHIP program to have Medina County act as the grantee for a countywide application.
