Committee introduces concurrent resolutions on temporary rules and licensing of genetic counselors

Representative Marco Erickson (District 33, Idaho Falls) introduced RS 32,473, described as a concurrent resolution to approve the temporary rules submitted by the Department of Health and Welfare and the Division of Occupational Professional Licensure that were approved earlier in the session. Erickson said the resolution covers the temporary rules "that we did through early in the session" and asked the committee to introduce it.
Representative Rubel moved to introduce RS 32,473. The motion passed by voice vote and the resolution was introduced.
Erickson also introduced RS 32,474 to reflect prior committee action rejecting a portion of rules submitted by the Division of Occupational Professional Licensure relating to genetic counselors and the licensing board. "This is just reflecting that work that we did," Erickson said. Representative Rasor moved to introduce RS 32,474; the motion passed by voice vote and the resolution was introduced.
At the end of the meeting, the committee chair encouraged members with bills they wanted acted on to bring them forward in the coming days and said the committee would try to get bills ready for the floor before session deadlines. The meeting adjourned after those remarks.
