Committee introduces RS 32391 to codify child-support rules into statute

The measure covers enforcement tools including liens, income withholding, fees and charges, medical support and public assistance support enforcement. "This is again concerning child support enforcement with regard to liens, income withholding," Kaler told the committee.
Committee members made no amendments during the brief discussion and the committee approved the motion to introduce the request for study. The clerk recorded the motion as introduced by voice vote; no roll‑call tally was given on the record.
No public testimony was offered on RS 32391 during the meeting.
The introduction sends the proposal to the committee docket for an introductory hearing and further consideration as the legislative process proceeds.
