The Executive Subcommittee of the State Building Commission approved routine business including the consent agenda, minutes and two designer selections during its meeting.
The subcommittee approved consent agenda items 1 through 3 on a single vote after staff confirmed the items had been reviewed and recommended for approval. The minutes of the Executive Subcommittee meeting held Jan. 27, 2025, were also approved.
Secretary Hargett presented two designer selections: Bauer Askew Architecture PLLC for the Tennessee College of Applied Technology Shelbyville (Lincoln County campus) energy readiness center renovation, and Self Tucker Architects for a recording-studio renovation at Southwest Community College. “We only have two today ... Tennessee College of Applied Technology, Shelbyville Lincoln County campus, energy readiness, center renovation, Bauer Askew architecture PLLC. Number two, Southwest Community College recording studio renovation self Tucker architects,” Secretary Hargett said.
The selections were moved and seconded and approved unanimously. Commission staff also reported items submitted to the ESC by state procurement agencies and items approved by the State Architect under SBC bylaws and policies and procedures, including two capital projects with total project costs between $100,000 and $1,000,000 and one land acquisition. Following these routine approvals the subcommittee adjourned.
