Committee advances bill defining heliports, vertiports and giving ODAA clearance role for UAS-related infrastructure

"It's more of a safety measure and it's just clean up language as they are the clearinghouse for UAS," Senator Racino said, describing the bill as formalizing ODAA's role in reviewing certain aerospace infrastructure proposals. Committee members had no substantive questions; a do-pass recommendation was placed and the committee advanced the bill.
The clerk recorded the committee roll call and the measure passed with 10 ayes and 0 nays. The committee record shows the motion was offered and seconded; no amendments were adopted during the hearing.
Senator Racino thanked the committee after the vote and the bill will move forward from committee.
