Planning staff announces GIS technician resignation; commissioner to vacate seat

Fluvanna County planning staff told the commission that the county’s planner/GIS technician, Trey Walton, has resigned effective Feb. 29 to pursue another opportunity and that the department has advertised the position. The director of planning also announced that Commissioner Eddie Shiflett notified staff he will resign from the planning commission effective at the end of the March 11 meeting; staff said the county will advertise to fill that seat.
