County staff told commissioners that elevator equipment has been ordered for several county projects, that they are coordinating schedule adjustments for deliveries, and that steps are underway to protect court clerk records after recent flooding.
A county project manager said elevator submittals for the Bridal Annex and ICB projects are approved and released and that manufacturers' delivery dates are pending. The project manager confirmed a notice to proceed was issued for Kone on the juvenile elevator work on Nov. 13 and said the contractor is back on track. Staff said schedule adjustments will be made once final manufacturer dates are available.
Staff also reported pockets of water from a recent flood entered the space where the court clerk's books are stored. To reduce risk, staff said they sandbagged the entrance and have begun moving some books off the floor; staff told the board the larger move aligns with a March 31 target date and that some shelving construction remains outstanding. A staff member asked that the board be given an update by the next meeting on when the remainder of the books will be moved.
The county reported progress on other sites: abatement work for the annex is advancing through a fourth phase, Flintco expects trailers on the behavioral health center site by about the second week in March, and the jail HVAC third puller's work is complete and slightly ahead of schedule. For the ICB remodel, staff said the budget is complete and that purchase orders are being processed; they noted the project will eliminate basement bathrooms because end users did not require them for code or operational reasons.
After the update, a board member moved to receive the report; the motion was seconded and approved by voice vote.
Ending
Board members received the project updates and struck certain agenda items elsewhere in the meeting record; no contested decisions or formal budget votes on these projects were recorded in the transcript.
