Council approves 2025 Pebble Lake Golf Course rates after manager highlights growth

The Fergus Falls City Council approved a resolution setting Pebble Lake Golf Club rates for the 2025 season after hearing a presentation from Kevin Swenson, director of golf.
Swenson told the council the course recorded 27,988 rounds in the last season, compared with 28,747 the previous season and 23,352 in 2022. He reported more than 11,000 driving-range uses, 308 season pass households in 2024 (down slightly from 315 in 2023) and 118 children enrolled in the club’s junior camp. Swenson said heavy rain—about 38 inches last year—closed the course for roughly 23 days.
For 2025 the club will raise season-pass prices by 5 percent and increase daily green fees by $1; cart and other amenity fees will remain unchanged. Swenson said the changes allow the club to finalize its business plan for the coming year.
Council members asked about regional competition and marketing. Council members and staff said Pebble Lake compares favorably on annual-pass pricing with several area courses and that a sizeable portion of weekend play comes from the Fargo market. Swenson said the club advertises in Fargo and with regional resort and lakes organizations and participates in promotions such as the WDAY golf card.
Council approval was by roll call; the resolution to adopt the 2025 rates passed.
