Bracken County fiscal court appoints Daniel Woks as emergency manager, names him SAR coordinator

"That would be broke[n] down hourly, 99 or less hours a month," Judge Teagarden said, and noted the state emergency management office will perform an extensive background check before the appointee can formally report for duty in Bracken County.
Court members discussed that the EM director historically also holds the SAR coordinator role. Following the recommendation, the fiscal court moved and seconded the appointment; the roll-call vote recorded unanimous approval.
No dissenting views or alternative candidates were recorded in the public meeting minutes. The court noted the appointee already has some SAR training.
The court did not specify additional implementation steps beyond the state background check and the requirement that the state approve the appointee before he assumes official duties.
