Alice Drive Elementary named Palmetto’s Finest finalist; Sumter Career Tech culinary program gains accreditation

Superintendent Dr. William Wright recognized Alice Drive Elementary as one of 12 finalists for the 2025 Palmetto's Finest awards, noting the application process and on-site evaluations and inviting the community to celebrate the winners when they are announced via South Carolina ETV on April 30, 2025.
Dr. Wright also announced that the Sumter Career Technology Center's secondary culinary arts program earned accreditation from the American Culinary Federation Education Foundation, making it the second program in South Carolina to receive that credential. He and trustees praised award recipients and district staff during the meeting.
