Board members asked about CTE expansion into the facility; staff said additional CTE shops were possible but raised concerns about student transit time across campus and whether major system upgrades would negate the purpose of moving students. Several board members voiced support for pursuing a realignment that would reduce transitions for students and yield long‑term savings; one member asked the superintendent to begin detailed planning with administrators and to return in March with cost and staffing analyses.
No formal vote was taken. The superintendent said he will meet with administrators, the association and other stakeholders to develop a more detailed implementation plan and recommended the board not rush a vote at the next meeting but to collect additional data and recommendations for a March decision.
