Resident warns drainage, traffic and property-value risks from proposed 10‑lot subdivision

Grace Crino, a Cullman County resident, told the Cullman County Commission she opposed a proposed subdivision that would place 10 houses on a roughly 6‑acre, low-lying parcel with existing ditches and natural runoff.

"The proposal is taking a 6 acre piece of land that is naturally a low lying area that has ditches and natural runoff reservoir proposing 10 houses on it," Crino said during the public-comment portion of the meeting. She said the previous owner had told neighbors the land would not percolate, and she warned the change in drainage could affect nearby roads, ponds and wildlife.
