The Beatrice City Council unanimously approved the consent agenda at the start of its Feb. 17 meeting.
Items approved by a single motion and 7-0 vote included acceptance of the agenda, minutes of the Feb. 3 regular meeting, treasurer reports and claims, pay requests for landfill and excavation projects, reappointments to the Beatrice Housing Authority board, a hangar lease at the municipal airport and permission for KWBE to serve alcohol at a June event in Charles Park and the Carnegie Building.
Selected items recorded in the meeting packet and approved under the consent agenda included: the treasurer’s claims in the amount of $817,793.30; Boswell claims totaling $604,373.46; pay request No. 1 to Genesis Contracting Group for $94,950 for the Boswell South MSW landfill site entrance facility project; and pay request No. 1 to Purse Excavation for $413,999.21 for the Boswell South MSW landfill phase I project. Resolutions on the consent agenda included reappointments of Larry Ramsey, Cheryl Worth, Tammy Brown, Sherry Beekman and Carla Hopkins to the Beatrice Housing Authority Board, a hangar lease with High Rise Aviation LLC for Hangar L1 at the Beatrice Municipal Airport, and resolution granting KWBE permission to sell alcohol and merchandise at a June 13 event.
A council member moved approval of the consent agenda and a second followed; the motion passed 7-0.
