All‑Sports Boosters offer to fund Panther Pit improvements and press box renovation

Marissa Mahoney, identified in the meeting as president of the All‑Sports Boosters, said revenue from concession sales has been used to support athletics and that the boosters want to spend funds this spring on improvements that would be coordinated with facilities staff.
The boosters’ specific requests and offers: - Fund painting and surface preparation of the Panther Pit interior concrete slab and install a new utility sink (boosters offered to cover the cost of paint and the sink). - Replace six exterior wooden windows with galvanized roll‑down windows and add vinyl panther head graphics; boosters are waiting on vendor estimates. - Help fund or replace the concrete picnic tables near the pit and consider relocating them as part of a terrace/patio improvement to improve safety and sight lines for games. - Explore community funding partnerships for a longer‑term press box renovation; boosters said several stakeholder groups (Gridiron Club, foundation and other boosters) are likely to contribute.
Kelly Whitehead, vice president of the All‑Sports Boosters, told the committee the window replacement would improve safety for workers in the pit and that the group is prepared to provide estimates and coordinate with facilities staff. The boosters also said they would supply cost estimates to the facilities director and expected to follow up on scheduling if the district proceeds.
Facilities staff acknowledged the offers and asked the boosters to provide vendor quotes and written estimates to be reviewed with the RFPs and capital priorities already under consideration. Boosters said they hoped some work could be completed before next football season, but that larger projects such as a press box renovation would take longer to coordinate.
