The Santa Fe RECC Board on Thursday appointed members to a technology subcommittee that will advise on systems, integrations and capital IT purchases.
The board confirmed the following members or representatives during the meeting: Lieutenant McCourt (Santa Fe Police Department) as the law-enforcement representative; Deputy Chief Nestor Garcia as the county fire representative; James Reeder as the Town of Edgewood IT representative; and Eric Wheeler as the RACC board member serving on the subcommittee. The city’s technology staff representative, Eric Candelaria, was confirmed earlier by the interim city manager and by email to the RECC director.
Board members moved and seconded naming each person and voted in favor of each appointment; the motions passed without recorded opposition. Director Lujan said the subcommittee roster had been adjusted to reflect requests made at the prior meeting and that the committee will include a mix of technology and operational representatives from city, county, town and regional stakeholders.
The subcommittee will review technology requests in the FY26 budget packet and will be the forum to vet integration, procurement and interoperability questions raised in the Federal Engineering technical review.
