On Ordinance 2025-002, Town Recorder Paul Fry summarized the measure as an appropriation of $3,585 to fund a contract with the First Tennessee Development District beginning March 1, 2025 and ending June 30, 2025. "Whereas the authorization of $3,585 to be used for the purpose and then as a contact for +1," Paul Fry read during the meeting record. Aldermanic mover and seconder were recorded on the motion.
Alderwoman Payne moved to approve Ordinance 2025-002 and Alderman Johnson seconded. The recorder called for a vote; the board moved the ordinance to a first reading and scheduled a public hearing on the second reading. No individual tally of votes by member was recorded in the public transcript.
The board briefly removed an item from the agenda after staff noted it requires approval from the Tennessee comptroller, and that matter will return when state approval is secured.
