Planning and Zoning Commission elects Edmund Haas chair and confirms Sue Blankenship as vice chair

At the Feb. 20 regular meeting the Coppell Planning and Zoning Commission held its annual election of officers and formally elected Edmund Haas as chair and Sue Blankenship as vice chair.
Commissioner Sue Blankenship nominated Edmund Haas for chair; Commissioner Marr (recorded as Commissioner Moore/Marr in the transcript) seconded the nomination. Haas accepted. Commissioners then voted by roll call; all present voted "aye." For vice chair, a motion to nominate Sue Blankenship was seconded and likewise passed on a unanimous roll call.
The commission also approved its Dec. 19 meeting minutes by unanimous roll call earlier in the meeting. The newly elected chair and vice chair will preside over commission business for the coming year and will participate in scheduling and leadership tasks required for annual business and public hearings.
