The review is intended to determine whether the county should continue running the landfill, create a regional authority, lease management to a third party or sell the facility. Commissioners said they expect work on the evaluation to continue for 10 to 12 months and that the county’s financial team is rebuilding records and reporting to provide the information needed for a decision.
