Supervisor Franco said the total grant award is “over $200,000,” and that Kenosha County’s portion is $53,140, to be used for investigation costs, surveillance and equipment; the grant will fund 2025 work and will not require additional tax levy dollars. The resolution required a two-thirds vote; the clerk recorded 16 votes in favor.
Supervisor Grady moved Resolution 84, a vendor permit agreement and land lease with Whenever Watersports to operate an independent rental station for paddleboards and kayaks at Silver Lake. Grady said the private vendor model will allow lifeguards to remain on duty while rentals are managed by the lessee. The public works and facilities and finance administration committees had recommended the lease.
