Harrison County Commission took a series of routine actions at its Jan. 15 meeting. Below are the items the board approved and brief details taken from the public record.
- Consent agenda: Approved on voice vote.
- Payroll change notices (agenda item 3): Approved a set of payroll changes labeled a through e. The board amended item c to raise the listed employee from pay grade 31 to pay grade 41; the county clerk/staff noted the hourly rate on that step is $16.41, which moves the employee up roughly $1.00 per hour from the prior 31 step. The amendment carried by voice vote.
- Minutes (agenda item 4): Approved minutes for prior meetings (items a, b and c) with a clarification to the Dec. 18 minutes to reflect that items f and g were tabled under payroll change notices; board approved as clarified.
- Requisitions and vendor payments (agenda item 5): Approved requisitions including an ARPA-related requisition and a vendor payments list; motion carried on voice vote.
- Exonerations and corrective tickets (agenda item 6): Approved exonerations as presented.
- Project fund requisition (agenda item 7): Approved payment from 2019 bond proceeds for Charles Pointe/White Oaks/Northland Bay improvements in the amount of $560.50.
- Budget revisions (agenda item 11): Approved general-county budget line-item adjustments that moved money within the same account numbers.

- Resolution to apply for West Virginia Department of Agriculture Spay and Neuter Assistance Program funds (agenda item 13): Approved a resolution allowing staff to apply for the program and to affix appropriate signatures. County staff said it will increase the request amount to $15,000 this year; the motion to apply and to affix signatures carried on voice vote.
Other items: The commission acknowledged a pending ethics matter involving an individual identified as Robert G. Matheny, noting the case is with the ethics commission and a response is expected in February. No personnel action was taken in open session on that item.
