Harrison County Commission approves Wolf Summit Energy pilot and lease agreement

Harrison County Commission approved a pilot agreement and a lease agreement with Wolf Summit Energy and authorized officials to affix signatures during its Jan. 15 meeting.

The commission first voted to go into an executive session under the statutory provision cited by a commissioner as “6-9A-4(b)” to discuss matters related to the purchase, sale or lease of property and other matters affecting county financial interests. Commissioners and invited staff then met in executive session before returning to the public meeting and taking the approval vote.

Commissioner Hinkle moved the motion to enter executive session and later to approve the pilot agreement and lease; the motion carried with no recorded opposition. The county president and other authorized officials were directed to sign the final documents.
