Staff said their analysis of data back to 2020 showed the existing model — which combined MAP (NWEA), CogAT, a teacher rating (Renzulli), and a WISC second-look in some cases — sometimes excluded students whose quantitative profiles (MAP/CogAT) indicated eligibility and sometimes included students who later struggled in the program.
