Council adopts rezoning ordinance for 2811 King Street

The Alexandria City Council closed the public hearing and adopted an ordinance rezoning 2811 King Street after no public speakers had signed up on the item.

Vice Mayor Bagley moved to close the public hearing and to adopt the ordinance; Councilmember Mick Pike seconded. The council then took a roll call vote and approved the rezoning; individual votes were recorded as aye for each councilmember present.

Council staff presented the ordinance on second reading as a routine land-use action; no additional public testimony was recorded during the meeting.

The ordinance amends the city's official zoning map as described in the agenda item; staff will publish the final ordinance text and update the zoning map per standard administrative procedure.
