The board granted a coverage variance allowing a 273-square-foot accessory structure at 4109 Fawnsdale Drive, with conditions to protect neighboring properties.
Chris Kitchens, the petitioner, said the structure will be used for storage of holiday items and will have no plumbing. He told the board the proposed location would be approximately 8.5 feet from one side property line and about 25 feet from the rear; the board required a minimum setback of 5 feet from property lines and reiterated that no plumbing be installed.
A motion to approve the coverage variance with those conditions passed by voice vote. Board members emphasized the petitioner must ensure drainage does not spill onto neighboring properties and that the structure meet setback and non-plumbing conditions.
