The Western Regional Water Commission established a legislative subcommittee for the 2025 Nevada legislative session and appointed Naomi Duer, Paul Anderson and Alexis Hill as members.
Lucas Filletta, counsel to the commission, explained the subcommittee’s role: monitor legislation that could affect the WRWC, coordinate positions, and guide staff on any lobbying or testimony. The subcommittee will hold joint meetings with the Truckee Meadows Water Authority (TOMWA) subcommittee, a coordination practice used in prior sessions.
Naomi Duer moved to appoint Naomi Duer, Paul Anderson and Alexis Hill to serve as the WRWC legislative subcommittee; the motion was seconded and passed unanimously. The commission did not record alternates; counsel recommended adding one or two alternates if the board wished.
