West Palm Beach lists street closures, market dates and dock hours for late February

City officials outlined closures for Clematis by Night on Thursday, Feb. 20, and Thursday, Feb. 27: North and South Clematis streets between Narcissus Avenue and Flagler Drive; Lantana Avenue between Banyan Boulevard and North Clematis Street; and Narcissus between Drama Works Alley and North Clematis Street. The podcast also said City Place will be closed Friday, Feb. 21, through Sunday, Feb. 23, and again Friday, Feb. 28, through Sunday, March 2.
Why it matters: the closures affect downtown vehicle access and parking during scheduled events and markets, and the city advised residents and visitors to plan alternate routes.
The Green Market is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 22, and Saturday, March 1; closures for that event include the 100 block of North and South Clematis streets, Narcissus Avenue between Banyan Boulevard and Datura Street, Lantana Avenue between Banyan Boulevard and North Clematis Street, and the 200 block of Clematis Street. The West Palm Beach Antique, Flea and Craft Market is set for Saturday, Feb. 22, and Saturday, March 1, with the 304 block of Klamana Street closed from 5 a.m. to 4 p.m. on those days, the podcast said.
Staging for the Palm Beach International Boat Show will close Avernier Street between Tamarind Avenue and Sapodilla Avenue through April 4. Separately, the podcast said WACMS is planned for Sunday, Feb. 23; Flagler Drive between Banyan and Lakeview will be closed from 7 a.m. until noon, and Flagler Drive between Lakeview and Barcelona Road will be closed from 8 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.
The podcast also reviewed operations for city docks and ramps: Curry Park Boat Docks and Ramps at 2400 North Flagler Drive and Lake Mangonia Park Boat Ramps at 2957 North Australian Avenue are open daily from sunrise to sunset. Clematis Street Docks (South Clematis Street at South Flagler Drive) and Fern Street Docks (Fern Street at South Flagler Drive) are open daily from 5 a.m. until midnight. "No overnight dockage is allowed for boats, dinghies, or kayaks," Marcello said.
