West Palm Beach sets temporary street and dock closures for late‑February events

The City of West Palm Beach announced temporary street closures and adjusted dock hours tied to a series of late‑February events, the City Center podcast reported. Jerry Marcello, host of the City Center podcast produced by the City of West Palm Beach communications department, listed dates, streets and times for each closure during the broadcast.
The most immediate closures will support two Clematis by Night dates: Thursday, Feb. 20 and Thursday, Feb. 27. North and South Clematis streets between Narcissus Avenue and Flagler Drive; Lantana Avenue between Banyan Boulevard and North Clematis Street; and Narcissus Avenue between Drama Works Alley and North Clematis Street will be closed from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. on those Thursdays.
City Place will be closed to traffic for two three‑day weekends: Friday, Feb. 21 through Sunday, Feb. 23 and again Friday, Feb. 28 through Sunday, March 2. Rosemary Avenue between Okeechobee Boulevard and Hibiscus Street will also be closed during those periods, the podcast said.
The Green Market — scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 22 and Saturday, March 1 — will prompt closures from 5 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the 100 block of North and South Clematis Streets; Narcissus Avenue between Banyan Boulevard and Datura Street; Lantana Avenue between Banyan Boulevard and North Clematis Street; and the 200 block of Clematis Street.
The West Palm Beach Antique, Flea and Craft Market is set for Saturday, Feb. 22 and Saturday, March 1; the broadcast said the 300 block of Klamath Street (reported as the “304 blocks of Klamana Street” in the podcast) will be closed from 5 a.m. to 4 p.m. on those dates. (The podcast transcript used the spelling “Klamana”; the official local street name is Klamath Street.)
Staging for the Palm Beach International Boat Show is already under way: Avernus Street will be closed between Tamarind Avenue and Sapodilla Avenue through April 4 for show staging.
WACMS events on Sunday, Feb. 23 will close portions of Flagler Drive at different times: Flagler Drive between Banyan Boulevard and Lakeview will be closed from 7 a.m. until noon; Flagler Drive between Lakeview and Barcelona Road will be closed from 8 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.
The podcast also listed public dock hours and a marina rule change. Curry Park boat docks and ramps at 2400 North Flagler Drive and Lake Mangonia Park boat ramps at 2957 North Australian Avenue are open daily from sunrise to sunset. Clematis Street Docks at South Clematis Street and South Langley Drive and the Fern Street Docks at Fern Street and South Langley Drive are open daily from 5 a.m. until midnight. The podcast said no overnight dockage is allowed for boats, dinghies or kayaks.
