Acting Mayor Wayne Grama called the Feb. 20 Roseville City Council meeting to order and led a sequence of interviews for applicants to several citizen advisory commissions, including the Parks & Recreation Commission, the Planning Commission and the Equity & Inclusion (formerly Human Rights) Commission. Council members in attendance included Council Member Strachan and Council Member Bauer; Mayor Dan Rowe and Council Member Robin Schroeder were not present and will review the recorded interviews before the March 3 appointment decisions.
The applicants interviewed described a range of relevant experience. Several applicants cited long volunteer histories with Roseville parks and natural-resource programs and youth athletics; others described public‑sector and association management careers, corporate liaison roles, planning or data-analytics work, or service in military or health-care professions.
