Rodriguez said staff requested a bid‑based approach. “He wants this to this time capsule to be bid based,” she said, and asked members to gather vendor quotes for different options — including an in‑ground burial or a below‑ground unit with small internal compartments. Rodriguez added that burying the capsule could reduce visible cost, but the committee should prepare a range of options and estimated financial implications for the council or manager.

Members discussed scheduling. Staff told the committee the project could be presented as part of the next budget cycle (October); the committee discussed advertising and community outreach in April–June ahead of a September/December installation aligned with the town’s 25th‑anniversary celebration.

The task force directed volunteers to obtain quotes from at least one vendor the manager had already provided and to prepare a short presentation with costs and recommended options for council or manager review. No formal vote was taken on the recommendation.
