The York County Board of Commissioners on Feb. 19, 2025, approved the minutes from its Feb. 5 meeting and adopted the consent agenda covering items 1 through 18, the board chair announced after a voice vote.
The chief clerk, Ms. Demonski, used the chief clerk’s report to highlight item 12 on the agenda: a human resources applicant-tracking and onboarding system the county has been working on with a vendor. Ms. Demonski said the system will allow applicants to complete onboarding electronically from a phone and provide the county more data on hiring processes.
Why it matters: County staff described the upgrade as intended to provide “significant efficiencies” in hiring and onboarding and to give officials more insight into how positions are being filled. The system was listed on the agenda as item 12 and included in the consent package the board approved.
The board took no additional discussion on the HR system during the meeting; the chief clerk’s remarks were part of the report rather than a separate agenda item requiring a separate vote. The board recorded no public comments on the agenda items and noted there had been no executive sessions since the prior meeting.
The board adjourned after the consent vote and routine business.
